Remember when they confirmed that all figures were backwards compatible?
What happened to that? Not that it matters, because I want the new game. Just wondering...

The only place where figures could be backwards compatible is the Toy Box and I'm not sure why anyone would stick with the 1.0 toy box with all the improvements in 2.0, so I really think this is a non-issue.

Probably there'd be too much data to shove down the pipe in a patch.

Disappointing. Helpful chart, but... disappointing content.As far as backwards compatibility goes, I imagine some people were hoping to be able to buy - and use - new figures without having to buy the new game immediately. I understand the difficulty, but it would have been nice - and probably wouldn't even have been expected had it not been mentioned - but I was hoping for/presuming there'd be full forwards compatibility and that the initial playsets would be endlessly replayable... particularly given the hints about the new game discs regarding unlocking the use of ANY character.

I believe Randy means the people who got the exclusive Venom at E3 this year, much like the exclusive D23 Mickey.

Wait. The playset pieces unlock all of the toys from that playset or just the ones you have unlocked? I think I remember hearing someone say it was just the ones you have unlocked

I think it's too much of a pain to program it so it ONLY unlocks what you have earned. It's much easier to just have it unlock every item from that set.
