The plants must be planted before you leave. the sidekicks wont keep working. The plants WILL keep growing.

I just got a Pro farming hoe. Requires tools 25.

Oh, and CCRunner are you planning on making a guide for the sidekicks? This farming one is really great.

Oh man. Been looking for that one.

I could do one on sidekicks. What would you like it focused on?

Max level, gear, best way to level. Stuff like that maybe.

I have the first watering can. It's just called "watering can" and requires 10 tool.

Tip: only one sidekick can work a plot at a time, you can't have one with a can and one with a hoe working the same plot.
So if you see a new plant and want it fast, assigne a water can sidekick to the plot and remove weeds and plants as they are finished (or the sidekick will continue watering them). Eventually you will have a plot with only one plant on it and the sidekick will water just that one. The other sidekicks will continue working on the other plots.

Is it still locked in the toystore? You have to purchase them to be available in the toybox.

You need to harvest one of each kind of the first 5 plants (corn, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, sunflower) in order to unlock the farm plots for the toy boxes.

For "harvesting" your crops I recommend using a character like Hiro who has prolonged, controllable distance attack. You can literally mow down the grown crops instead of hitting them one by one (like I was doing with Olaf).

^I always use the slam attack to harvest. It works pretty good.
