Can you really use any character you want? I played with a friend yesterday and after we beat assault on as gard we tried to use elsa. It didn't take.

AFAIK, the anyone option is only for Survival mode, not the base game itself.

New Info. JV tweeted yesterday that the Toy Box Game Disc 2pks will be $19.99 and come out in January.

This reinforces my decision to get the Originals Starter Pack. With a pre-order I'll get a free figure, so 3X$14+$20= $62 and that doesn't even factor in the game disc which you could resell with the extra base.

Yeah, I was thinking $9.99 as well. I'm already planning to upgrade to PS4 by the holidays, so this just makes it easier to buy the starter pack.

I'm thinking Wii U might be a good resell bet. Probably lots of parents that won't like the idea of another base and just want the disc without the hassle of a digital download. Should be able to get the $20 at least.

I can't believe you guys were expecting $10 for each toy box disc. O_o That's just crazy IMO... those types of things used to be free in 1.0 as either downloads or came with the figures... total cash grab IMO.

They might not make anymore for 2.0, but toy box game discs will probably be the future of DI past 3.0... no playsets... just game discs and figures.

^ we were expecting them both for $10 ($5 each). They are going to be $10 a piece when you buy them ($19.99).
