JV confirms on twitter: No Crystal Variants for 2.0

I'm sorry if this has already been reported on, but I just noticed on twitter that someone tweeted JV asking if there would be any special figures like the crystal ones in 2.0, and he replied saying that there would not be.

I'm actually glad that this isn't the case with 2.0. It was a pain to get those crystals locally, and while I prefer them over regular figures, they're not really that spectacular...

Yer I agree! I'm very pleased, they seemed somewhat redundant, looked nice and sure levelled up quicker but played exactly the same (all be it they were meant to have exclusive powers of which most I never found out what they were). However its interesting that Crystal Mickey never saw the light of day.

Good, I'm not a fan of the crystal variants. I prefer how the characters look like in their respective film or TV show. I did buy a crystal Lightning McQueen at launch in my quest to collect everything, but I never took him out of the box and will likely sell him.

I don't feel bad about not getting any now.

Crystal Mickey is still coming, guys. Unless that changed, but JV said it was.
Thankfully, though, that's it.

The crystal figures were the only ones I chose not to buy, so I admit this works for me. I'd rather have 1 or 2 completely different extra characters in the line-up than multiple repaints or crystal variants.

that sucks, i'd kill for crystal hulk.
