@Paradox, I own XBONE PS4 and Wii U also, personally I'm sticking with the Wii U. I think the system plays this type of game really well and hopefully they will integrate even more features into the gamepad with 2.0. I'm willing to bet that there will be next to no difference graphically between the 3 platforms. I used to be really ocd with the achievement/trophy system as well, (not starting a new game until I had 100% on every game), the Wii U has brought back that old school 'play for gameplay sake' feeling that I had been missing. I'm also hoping the save progress from 1.0 will continue smoothly into 2.0. Would love a staircase to appear in the original Hall of Heroes leading to another Hall for all the 2.0 figures.

Hmm, good points. Maybe just continuing to play it off my Wii U will be the best best. The save progress from DI1 to Di2 would be a big deal in just staying... I also agree about the 'play for gameplay sake' found on the Wii U.

"Disney Infinity 2 confirmed for next gen" So was Disney Infinity 1.0, for an extremely powerful, top-of-the-notch, next-gen system called the Wii U. :x

The Wii U is the next generation of Nintendo console but it's not considered 'next gen' by anybody (including Nintendo)

If it is coming to xbox1 / ps4 it'll inevitably cost more too :( and there may be another base to work with the systems too. Bad times

and then again it may not cost more and it is unlikely that a new base will be needed for those with Disney Infinity 1.0 bases

Not likely. Typical retail PS4 games cost the same amount as PS3 games ($60). Also, seeing as the current base is interchangeable between all consoles (except the 360, due to some policy of Microsoft's), I don't think they'll need to make a new base either.
