Change to Lone Ranger playset figure?

I thought there was one with tomahawk.

I only got the playset recently and saw the two pistols and was thinking I mistook one of the pistols as a tomahawk earlier. :C

I bought mine on release day and I got the tomahawk version. I don't know how the two pistol one is older.

^ perahaps it was changed very early in production, I guess only the first few hundred manufactured were the dual pistol version, if that came first. I scoured the net and can only find the variant in USA packaging. Yet to find and in European or UK packs. Even then there is only a handful of them on the market, so If I was lucky enough to find one at retail id snap it up!

I was recently at my target and all of their Lone Ranger playsets had the double pistols, I think they switched it from the pistol and tomahawk to the double pistol.

Can anyone categorically confirm which came first - the anecdotal evidence is conflicting, while the official Disney response suggests pistols came first. Is that definitely correct - dual pistols were replaced by tomahawk and pistol..? If so, should Jazz820 buy out Target's stock post-haste..?!

Nothing showing up on eBay, I bought my set the first day it came out (us) and I have tomahawk and pistol!

yeah all the ones at walmart today were double pistols. i think it's the opposite of what we originally thought and the tomahawk is the earlier model
