If the 2.0 version of Disney Infinity causes the playsets from 1.0 to simply release all the stuff on them will the dragons gate be similarly effected or would it still need access to one of those Magic Bands?

I would suspect that you would only be able to unlock it through the Magicband. It's kind of an exclusive for the people that have visited Walt Disney World. If they allowed the Dragon Gate to be accessible without needing the Magicband, I would assume they would give it some other kind of exclusive. Sorry to say, but I don't think they will have the Dragon Gate without needing the MagicBand. I could be wrong, but if they did have it, I'm sure they would give it another exclusive, meaning people would still want the magicbands.

I asked in the summit chat and was told the light saber and dragons gate were tied to your Disney account. So I'm hoping that's the case.

I'm playing IN2.0 now (live in Europe) I can tell you the Dragons gate does not automatically unlock in 2.0 Neither does all the 1.0 stuff. You need to place all your 1.0 stuff on the base and it will then be available ingame. That is AVAILABLE but NOT unlocked! You still need to collect sparks to buy all the items again from the playsets. The exception are the figure items. Those become unlocked when you place the figure on the base. But all the playset items, you need to make available by placing a playset on the base and then buy with sparks collected in game.

The Dragons Gate, which I had unlocked in 1.0 but do not own since I live in Europe and have never been to Disney World (only Disneyland in France) does not appear in the game.

I am going to need another helping hand with that from a friendly player who has IN2.0 The band and plays on PS4.

@automaton are you logged into the same Disney ID you used in 1.0? My dragon gate came over with that just fine. The MagicBand unlocks a different item now and will not unlock the dragon gate in 2.0.

What does it unlock then? And when it is unlocked can I find it somewhere in the store?

Managed to get the Dragon Gate again. Removed and Reconnected my PS4, it worked that time.

Really? Okay it unlocks it even if you only used the band in 1.0 them because I have that I think..
