40 characters at launch?

I also thought 20, but it was a pre order site where i read it.

On second thought, I've heard that before. I think what they mean is 40 collectable pieces. So the 17 figures, 3 playset pieces, and 20 powerdisks from series 1.

3 playset pieces? Could actually be possible. An extra playset plus another character for it.

From the Disney Store we already know that the first set of blind packs give potential for 20 different discs.
There is the possibility of extra discs as the random one in each starter pack as well, since we've seen TRON discs as the main push for that, though I won't talk about that in this seeing as it may well be completely unrelated.

The basically confirmed launch CHARACTERS are:

28. Davey Jones

30. Mike
31. Randall

Then of course the possibility of Lone Ranger/Tonto, something entirely different or other characters(they've said MU will have more, so at launch?)... I'm lost.
However, I am going to assume that 5 is the standard amount of characters per play set. So... WILD SPECULATEORY TIME! Pirates gets its two extra characters, Monsters gets its two extra characters, and Cars gets its extra character(I'm guessing will be Finn McMissile). I know it sounds crazy to release everything so fast, but it does fit 20 characters/20 discs, and this is all just thinking with letters anyway.

In any case, I don't think it's worth speculating right now since the release date got pushed back, so it could well be that we get more toys. But hey, at least it's always a good time.
