40 characters at launch?

I just read on a site there will be 40 characters at the launch of Disney Infinity in August! Is this right?

I have heard over 20 from most videos, so I expect around 25 will be the total, I doubt 40, what site was it?

Who knows now that the date has been pushed back they could be releasing all kinds of extra stuff at launch. It could be stuff they were planning to release between June and August will now all be available at release. Or they could be making new stuff since they had a few extra months. Who knows.

IIRC everywhere has been saying 20 characters and 20 discs? Correct me if I'm wrong? Of course, with the extra two months, they could easily release a few more figures instead.

I heard that there will be 40 characters, there's 14 so far that we know of, i also heard that there will be a Lone Ranger set, where in there I think you will play as a sheriff (lone ranger) and help the towns folk out, you get to customize your own town, and the characters will be tonto and the Lone Ranger. Then that makes 16, then there is 4 people left maybe toy story, with woody, Jessie, buzz, and zurg, so that's what I think

20 characters and 20 disks sounds about right, and would equal the 40 the original poster heard just not all characters

So that's 25 already that we have seen, so that's 15 left. Maybe 40 is the overall total for all of the figures in disney infintiy 1.

They said there would be 20 characters at launch, and 20 Power discs, but, just like other forum members have said, they might be more than 20 characters at launch, due to the release date delayment.

I highly doubt that they will have 40 characters at launch. It just doesn't make sense. But 40 throughout possibly! So we have the 14 confirmed, then Randall, Lone Ranger and Tonto will likely round out series 1...so my guesses for the remaining 23 are:
