any platform differences xbox, Wii U etc..

That reminds me too... the PS4 is coming out this year... and rumors are so is the XBox 720... but no mention of Disney infinity versions.. which make sense...

But, if the next gen consoles come out in October/November... with Infinity out in August...
maybe i'd get the Xbox 360 version of Infinity... and get the Xbox 720 when it comes out...because the game should be backwards compatible...

but then i'd be annoyed if they came out with an Xbox 720 version of Infinity with different "enhancements" ....

Even the differences in Skylanders aren't as big as people say, they're just very numerous.

The differences are sure to be very, very subtle, but I think it's too early to guess how many could be ahead... There could always be offscreen play for the Wii U version though. Skylanders has offscreen play, so it's definetly possible.

It's gonna be such a small difference, I just say get it for whichever console you like best, unless the Wii U version has GamePad-only play in which case I say get the Wii U version.

I also wouldn't count on the next Xbox being backward compatible with the current one. It could be if Microsoft wants to stick it to Sony a little. But we'll see what they actually decide.

One nice thing, though: The Infinity figures aren't platform-specific, so if you buy the game for a new system, or buy a future iteration of Infinity for a different system, all of your figures are still good.

Yeah, backwards compatability is huge for me. Big N are GREAT about it, but I can never trust the other two so I don't buy their systems until much later. It's why I haven't bought a Vita yet. I'm interested in seeing how Microsoft handle it, because they had compatability with the original XBox on the 360, so I'm not too worried about it... They won't be as bad at it as Sony is.
