To Enderslot.
I understand the point you are putting forward here. However, like all opinions it is based on your personal perception of what component of your processing holds value.
In this case you feel that a figure without a Playset is worth half as much as one with a Playset.
This is because you can get six to ten hours of character based story content from a Playset and then you can spend any indeterminate amount of time in the Toy Box.
The time and content against dollar value is what is most valued by this example.
Another person, say Mutatedjellyfish would rather have their favourite character from their favourite franchises to play in any capacity. By this I mean; If you love The Nightmare Before Christmas would you rather have Jack Skellington for the Toy Box or not have him at all?
The character and franchise is what is most valued by this example.
And then there is the “Adscan” type of freak that just wants everything!
An overwhelming need to collect everything for Infnity is what is most valued by this nutter.
Remembering that games now can cost as much and make more money than big name movies, It’s not hard to see why there can’t be a Playset (a standalone game for the Infinity Platform) for every franchise that Disney owns. There is simply too many to franchises and unfortunately money is the main motivator as to which ones are chosen to get a Playset solely based on estimated returns.
Sad but true.
P.S. I would Love a range of Brave figures and a Playset but if all I could get was King Fergus and Merida for the Toy Box then I would be a happy nutter indeed.
