Confused about Series 2 Release Date

I have heard that they are releasing woody, Jack Skellington, and the Toy Story playset on October first. But then I started seeing the exclusive get it early things for stores like Walmart and GameStop, which said they would have them Oct. 3, weeks before other retailers. So I assumed I must have been incorrect in seeing somewhere around here a post that said the Oct. 1 release date was confirmed. But I just got off the phone with my local Gamestop, and they confirmed that they are releasing jack, woody, and the toy story playset on oct. 1. What is going on here?

I'm getting the toy story play set

Gamestop originally had them put on the website for October 1st. Someone thought that was proof enough to call it confirmed, but it was actually just a placeholder date. It was never actually confirmed for October 1st.

Is the Toy Story playset being released Oct. 5th?
