EA have got a few Star Wars games in development , battlefront 2, plus one from Visasri & another from Respawn... Plus swtor is getting updates. Marvel heroes is really enjoyable :-) it's getting a major update to become easier (and possibly and hopefully a console launch)...

I also suspect Lego Star Wars games based on rogue one, episode VIII etc are coming plus another marvel Lego one like guardians of the Galaxy since they got left out avengers (maybe dimensions too :-) )

Plus we have two kingdom hearts console games coming out soon (well 3 might be a while haha)

It'll take a few years to get back to pre infinity days because of development time... I think infinity allowed Disney to be a little careful with frozen, Zootopia etc but remember they still did games for frozen and big hero 6 on the 3ds, so maybe the NX will pick some new titles up (we have Disney magical world 2 out next month)

Honestly I think Marvel and Star Wars probably hurt Infinity a lot more than anything. Marvel in particular are notoriously hard to work with and demanding.

Star Wars not so much, but the Rebels characters can't have helped.

Certainly would have worked better if they left the Star Wars Rebels figures for their own play set depending on how much advance warning they had as to Disney Infinity's future?
Battlegrounds might have been better as an expansion game, being unable to use the older play sets in the succeeding DI editions also hurt its prospects!

I think the "cost too much" argument is right, when 2.0 came out, starter pack, power discs, figures & playsets was a huge outlay. Compared to the cost of a simple marvel console game like ultimate alliance, Spider-Man, Lego avengers , heck you could buy them all for the same price and have change

From what I have heard at first, GermanBoldItalic is right. 3.0 with Star Wars may have been what would save the game, but Disney just looked at the overproduction adn decided to say that's enough and they cut it, regardless of how well 3.0 did.

They never should have based 2.0 and 3.0 around Marvel and Star Wars. I remember 1.0 had so much hype with people looking forward to all the many possibilities for playsets featuring a multitude of different characters and universes, but Star Wars and Marvel limited that scope almost entirely to two universes and two groups of characters. It also didn't help that Star Wars and Marvel fans never really gave a wibble about Disney Infinity and that both franchises already have numerous games in which their characters can be used (including Lego games that directly compete with Disney Infinity).

Marvel and Star Wars should have only gotten one playset each. That would have been enough to take advantage of what hype they had to offer while not drowning out everything else.

Might have worked had they paid attention to their own archived franchises but this wasn't about them it was all about advertising their latest movies so it was ultimately self defeating.
