As it turns out, Lightning McQueen was planned to get a Premium figure as well:



I have to agree with the video, I'm not sure what they could have done differently with a Premium Cars figure, either. It seems like it would have been pointless except for the collection value unless they definitely had something that could set him apart from the other Cars figures' gameplay in mind. The design itself looks pretty nice, though.

It was scrapped before they finalized the plans.
And there was also a change that they had an other 12 Inch figure of Yoda. But he was also scrapped before finalized.

I wish they would have just stopped with Cars. They are the most limited characters.
