I would never buy one of those 12" figures ($45 is far too much) if they are variants.
But my God would I buy a 12" Gantu figure in a heartbeat.

I wonder if, even if there was no inclination, that the 12 inch line would have eventually led to unique characters. Like Elliot from Pete's Dragon or even Arlo.

@ pleakley

not entirely sure. the next releases (alice, hatter, and time) should help indicate how many of the playset and nemo will hit the shelves.

Having "giant" figures like Elliot would definitely get my interest.

As for Gravity Falls, Goofy, Darkwing Duck, etc., the article mentioned nothing about "Toy Box Only" figures, so who knows who we would have gotten from those line-ups.

It's been nearly a week now, and they've not uttered a single word to the fans about their decision and the final weeks.

If they end it like this and just dump the five remaining figures and that's it, that's going to be incredibly insulting to the fan base that they've built over the last three years.

It sounds like they're releasing Dory with the play set piece and Nemo with the two Underwater power discs first released with the DI 1.0 series.

Odd they could have done the same with the Tron figures in that they release them with the Tron power discs and I would have picked them up since they were exclusive when they first came out, guess they had an overload of Nemo discs prepared unless there's something new about them?

Unlikely I know did they ever consider releasing an Alice in Wonderland Play set?

New images show nemo without the power discs so we don't know if they will come with his figure or not now.
