now I'm curious since Apple apparently changed the requirements for games so that you have to be able to play them just with the Apple tv remote. and I don't see how that would work with infinity..?

^Im guessing the workaround for this is they are shipping the game with a controller. Apple put that in to make sure companies didn't require people to buy controllers separately. Since DI ships with the controller, they may have got an exception.

I'm Prime on Amazon, so I'd have liked to see this on the new Fire TV. If I knew there would be an Amazon app for Apple TV (seriously doubt that would happen) then I'd cancel my Fire TV pre-order and go with the new Apple TV once released.

@wherestron so they will actually make the game physical? I thought it was going to be downloadable from AppStore, but yeah that's probably how it will work!

Suspect it will come with a coupon for download. But yes there will be a physical SP. Unfortunately means you have 2 Anakins and 2 Ahsokas if you also have on another platform

The press release stated it will come with its own MFi controller, a bluetooth enabled wireless base, and the standard starter pack (download code instead of game disc). I'm kinda bummed as I was hoping for a digital download using the Siri Remote, and digital characters, or using the character cards. I'll be heading overseas next week, and will just have barely enough time to get my ATV delivered

The Battle of Yavin stage is free to download on ATV4, they are obviously not done porting it yet, and they threw us a nice bone to keep us docile until the full release is ready. ATV4 is really cool btw.

Just read a review on CNet about the gaming capability of Apple TV, it supports all 3rd party controllers not just what ever special controller that's supposed to be in this stater set. I kinded figured it would that's why I hung onto my wireless base from the black suit Spider-Man vita pack. So once 3.0 hits the Apple TV I'm good got my base, download the software and I'm good to go don't need no starter pack.
