JV confirms more Disney originals to come

Recently, just today, John Vignocchi tweeted out an answer confirming there are still unknown Disney Original characters.
I cannot link it at the moment, so if someone could, that would be much appreciated.

We still have a chance at Dipper, Mabel, Darkwing, etc.!

Nice! Can't wait! I think there's a pretty good chance for Dipper, Mabel, Nicky Wilde and Judy Hopps from the upcoming film Zootopia will appear for this game. I'm still hoping that Peter Pan will eventually make it into the game!

So. would Kermit and the Muppets count as Originals?
If so, BRING ON THE MUPPETS!

This is great news. I like when the character, playset, and powerdisc announcements are more spread out instead of all up front.
But HOPEFULLY we won't have to wait too long to find out about the other Disney characters or the upcoming Marvel ones.

Still, I'm fairly certain my question was on-topic: We know there'll be more "Disney Originals". Do the Muppets count in that?

I would say it has been long enough now to where they are just considered Disney, and not a brand bought by Disney like Marvel and Star Wars.
But there are a TON of muppets, so if they were really going to tackle the brand, I am sure they'd get their own category separated. Who knows.
Kind of hoping they only do the main Muppets, and not go to secondary or obscure, because that will be just like Star Wars, and push Disney to the side.
I am hoping 4.0 focuses more on Disney.

I bet it will just be 2-4 more characters. It could be Dipper and Mabel considering Gravity Falls is the only racetrack in Speedway that doesn't have the corresponding playable characters. Zootopia might slip off into 4.0 but we'll see...

@dizexplorer, Another renaissance or golden age character like Peter Pan would definitely complete this lineup!

Maybe Disney Infinity will have a D23 presentation and announce the final characters there like they did a few years ago.

Always good to hear that we'll have more Disney figures. After all, it is DISNEY Infinity!

I also noticed JV responded saying "well over a hundred figures" to a tweet, and by saying 'well over' it makes me think we'll see about 110+ (whether they'll be from Disney, Marvel, or Star Wars) by the end of 3.0. Ugh, can it be the end of August yet!?
