While John Vignocchi was in London recently I personally asked him about Captain EO in Disney Infinity. This video gives the correct facts and the reality is not what many sources are stating.

I received a message from John Vignocchi today and he told me that the information being spread around the internet is completely wrong. The reality is that he has not already secured the approval of Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, and the Jackson estate to produce some kind of Captain EO content inside Disney Infinity.

Hopefully he does secure the rights. I may not be a big MJ fan, but Captain EO was always a fun experience at Disneyland.

I wouldn't want figures, but power discs would be cool.

It would only be 1 figure (if they decide to make him). Captain EO! I would love a figure of him.

I have no affinity for the character, but I'm all for JV getting his dream realized.

Why would Disney need the approval of Martin Scorsese?!?

Captain EO is at the top of my list of 'Disney' characters I would love to see in Disney Infinity.

Especially with the new Space Travel mechanics in the game, thanks to Star Wars, I would love to get his ship as well.

@Cmdr Xym The Martin Scorsese part is a quote from various sites falsely reporting this as a done deal. What they ment was Francis ford Coppola - Director. They also need the go ahead from the Jackson Estate - Star, George Lucas - Producer & Disney's own legal & Parks departments. It's far from a done deal yet.

So, chances are next to nil for a Captain EO figure in 3.0?
Bummer. JV really wants him in, doesn't he?
Then again, for most it wouldn't be Captain EO, it'd just be straight up "MICHEAL JACKSON IS IN INFINITY"!
