What does it mean when a sidekick keeps saying they're exhausted ? Is there something I can do to help, do they need to be switched out, does it not really matter at all, etc ?

^ From 2.0 it was just an expression. I don't know if it means anything different in 3.0.

It means you need to feed it. If you feed food that levels up the energy it won't be exhausted that fast anymore.

I'm not quite sure if this was posted before: you can find a list of sidekicks under "horseplay toys" (whatever that means???)
Be advised: Huge spoiler, it seems you can see ALL sidekicks and if they are unlocked in INterior, Hub, or Take over...

anyone got any hints or tips for unlocking more sidekicks?

I've got all the ones from Interiors now.
Most come from answering questions correctly. Some from decorating rooms to a given theme (make sure you buy all the themes to ensure you can unlock them). 1 Ghost comes from the Haunted house sidekick room, so you need to purchase this and place it, then win the challenge.

I've got several sidekicks from the Hub, but these seem to be very random drops from the Free gifts that spawn every so often.

@Rapunzel70 Forgive me if you know this already - "horseplay" sort of means acting silly, fooling around, having fun.

@Sarah Thanks! I'm not a native english speaker so some of these expressions go right past me. Didn't check that section of the game because I thought it just had all the mounts/rides in it... was truly suprised of what I found there and wondered about the title. Thanks for enlightening me

Some sidekicks come from the separately sold toybox takeover and from the playsets. That and the hub and the INterior seem to be it.

@Rapunzel70 I know what "horseplay" means, but I was a little confused by the title choice too. I wasn't sure what they put in there until I went and looked. And then I was like, "Oh, that makes sense now!"
