What's that in the launch trailer video?

Might just be wishful thinking here, but toward the end of the video where buzz says "let's hope they come in peace", there's a flash frame that includes Minnie and Mickey alongside other older characters.

In the foreground is Miss Piggy and Animal from 20, and in the background is the Cheshire Cat.

Given Disney's re-launch of the muppets, and 2016 bringing Alice back to theatres, it seems like a big hint to me.

Of course, they could just be teasing - who knows?

Thought it was interesting enough though...

Also, I noticed today most of the figures on the survey that was published have been announced, with the exception of a few. Notably, R2D2 and Boba Fett are the only Star Wars figure absent so far that were included on the survey. Personally, I can't see those, coming in last. R2 also appears in the video in what appears to be more than a townsperson form. Boba Fett's helmet is also featured in one of the videos talking about Avalanche's work BTS. Coincidence?

So, I think the Force Awakens set will include Rey and Kylo, with Finn, Phasma and R2 as add-ons. I also think we will see Boba and Calrissian (he's shown in one of the sketches in the videos from BTS also).

On the Marvel front, I think we will see Scarlet Witch and Vision (since both appear in Ultron and Civil War), and possibly Winter Soldier or Strucker.

The next wave of Disney is likely to be a Muppets Playset, with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal and Gonzo. Plus Alice.

Lastly, it's interesting they have added a "nurture" farming element to the game this time around. Doing this opens up characters who are not traditionally combat oriented, like Aurora, Cinderella, and the other princesses.

So much speculation!

I simply cannot wait for this release. Counting the days...

Muppets and Alice would be perfect considering the rumors and release schedule.

I just think that there could be a Muppet playset down the line, so 3.0 seems like a nice fit. I'd love to see their 3.0 designs!

Because Alice doesn't release until the beginning of summer, my guess would be she is cut off to 4.0 unfortunately...

My big fear where Alice is concerned is that they'll just do the Tim Burton one and ignore her classic incarnation.

The Tim Burton one is the only one I like lol... and I'm not an avid fan of his... i just like the strong Mia (Wakowski?) version of the character more than the whiny little kid one. Ha...

I hope you're right!
Muppets playset? Cheshire Cat and R2-D2 figures?
Man oh man, I'd love those so much!

^^ @vidia exactly, classics all the way. If they choose again modern representations over classics like they did with Beneficent/Jolieficent I'm out.

Most likely The Muppets, and The Cheshire Cat are in that trailer just to help show off a few more of the franchises in the game for new players.
Using the same logic, it could also mean Robin Hood, Pooh and Dipper will get figures.... Since we have seen their towns people versions in trailers/gameplay demos :/

and yeah I want classic Alice or no Alice. I'm still annoyed we got Angelina Jolie's Maleficent as a figure instead of her classic look.

@Undies - I don't think so. Having those in the trailer is not likely to be accidental IMMHO.

Guess we will see in time!
