First Look 3.0 Power Disc Packs *New pics SW Discs

That is my biggest fear. Now that people can see the packs, those rude people who buy all of them and sell them on eBay may have a hay day.
It is still better than blind bags though. It decreases the rarity so maybe it will end up being a good thing. I could be wrong.

I think there will be an ample supply of most theme packs. I think where it will get interesting is with the exclusive packs. We saw what happened with D23 Mickey, what happens with the exclusives for smaller events? How do we feel about a 500 edition theme park exclusive set of Disneyland Rail Road engines? We have seen very limited edition Vinylmation and pin sets, I can see it done with power discs. I am not saying, it's good or bad, just curious, how it would be received by the community.

I really hope they don't do that. It would kill me on the inside.
Especially figures. No exclusive figures PLEASE.

However, at this price point I can't really impulse buy them anymore. I am also worried that we won't get the random small franchises that I have grown to love.

@alecatq2 I see your point, but like y wife said last night, they could have misc packs for the more obscure properties they'd represent with power discs. A few thoughts on misc themed packs could be:
Princess Discs
Classic Movies Discs
Adventure Discs
Vehicles & Mounts Pack
Weapons Pack
Disney XD Pack
etc...

I have a good feeling that when they decided to go this route, they already had the 3.0 power discs and themes planned out.

I have a concern, if these are now themed and I wan two or more of the Ability discs, will I be stuck with extra discs I don't need.
I collect 1 of every disc but multiples of the Abilities because they can stack, now what?

Maybe an Abilities pack A, B and C for just the ones sold in the themes and 4 discs per pack?

They can't work thru every collecting scenario. I'd imagine there will be plenty of ability discs available for cheap as many Toy Box artists will just want the customization discs and not the rest so much.

I could see there being a "variety pack" that has 4 discs from 4 different properties that we could still get obscure properties. Even if we lose that, I'd still rather have this than blind bags any day. I have over 50 duplicates sitting in a bag that will probably never even be used and I STILL have five power discs to collect.

As far buying duplicates of abilities, eBay will still probably be your best bet. You may even be able to trade blind bag duplicates for 3.0 discs, especially since this will probably make the rarity of the blind bag discs skyrocket.

I wouldn't worry as I'm sure someone on eBay will sell them seperate
