I'm really looking forward to the new toy box games for 3.0!

One of the things I'm most curious about it is how we'll select our vehicle at the Speedway. In the video poster at Game Informer, Chewbacca, Darth Maul, and Yoda were seen racing in generic karts. I would think that the Toy Box discs will be flat so that we can stack vehicle power discs on it, but what I'd really like to know is how we'll use a vehicle that doesn't have a power disc, like the cars from Sugar Rush.

Also, the vortex thing that sneaks up behind you in Toy Box Takeover (formally Villain Takeover) sounds both frightening and fun. *Mater voice* "You better run, he's gonna get you! Ha ha ha!"

JV responded to someone in a tweet that the new Expansion Games were designed more like Playset pieces, so I doubt they will be flat discs.

Intriguing, can't wait for them to release more news. We'll know a lot more in a few weeks at E3.

Really looking forward to the Toy Box Takeover game! It'd be nice to have the option to keep the camera up close like normal play. The isometric view is fine and very Diablo-like, but for this game I like to be up close in the combat. =)

What I'm wondering about the speedway, they have said that you can use hex coin vehicles, but if player one wants to use Mikes New Car, and player two wants to use Cinderella's Coach will the players be able to have seperate choices?

I suspect the speedway game will have a vehicle selection screen similar to the turret selection screen in 2.0 Asgard tower defense game. It should give the option of choosing from all compatible toy box vehicles and it would be at this stage you could put the hex disc on? Maybe it has a memory of all vehicle disc unlocks (like My Collection) that permanently unlocks the car once you've placed the disc the first time.

It is doubtful that the powerdisc vehicles will remain in the selection after you placed them once.
Then you could just go to other people's houses and place all your power discs down.
Plus, they have yet to actually let us even keep a vehicle powerdisc in our toybox permanently.

I think that was more of an issue when they were selling power discs in blind packs. Now that they're switching to clear ones, maybe they'll ease up on the restrictions a little bit.

I sure hope so.
