That much skin on a Disney Princess is not family friendly nor the name, Slave Leia.
As a 16 yo, I didn't have a problem with her in that outfit, but as a parent, I can see that does send a bad message.

Still, I would so buy a Slave Leia pd or figure, in a heartbeat.

There's a very dark tunnel that Slave Leia imposes. She's not a traditional house slave in that costume, so that means she's the other type. Which is a very disgusting visual.

The issue is not that Slave Leia shows skin. The issue is that Leia was being forced to show that much skin against her will. It's a matter of context. Ariel had agency in choosing to show skin, Leia did not. That's the difference.

Yeah, that's true. But then I could say that Jasmine also got such an outfit when she was enslaved by Jafar. Ok that outfit is not in DI but it's in a Disney movie, if you know what I mean.

Simply put, the slave outfit is a cultural sex icon (I'm allowed to say that, right?). Selling merch based on it to adults or even mature teenagers wouldn't be an issue, but selling it to young kids would be a no-no. Disney Infinity targets all ages, so it's a safe bet that we won't see the outfit in the game.

Gravity Falls ends its run early next year.

If we don't get figures this go around we're sunk.

The new Force Awakens trailer looks great. They captured the trailer feel really well, and I'm sure there's a lot we aren't going to see just yet. I hope it will be one of their most ambitious playsets to date.

I also hope "Old Han" is a costume disc. I also want one for Luke and Leia. I really don't want new figures. I'd rather them focus on characters who still need a figure.

"Slave Leia" doesn't bother me. It's not like the merchandise has ever gone overboard, or isn't accurate. Even Disney has officially released Leia in that outfit at the Disney Store. If they need to rename that costume as "Leia as Jabba's Prisoner", that removes a good part of the negative context.

As long as they don't further "Special Edition" Return of the Jedi to give her an ankle length dress, long sleeves, and a ruffled collar that goes up to her neck, I won't cry "foul".

But anyway, I am looking forward to adding Finn, Rey, and company to my collection.
