Disney Infinity 3.0 General Discussion Topic "no wish lists"

Considering what JV said at the end of the last Next event, I would be shocked if it didn't happen mid May.

More retailers are listing the Dory Play Set on their websites, and at this point it's a pretty safe bet that the other mystery figure is Nemo. No other Finding Somebody figures have been added, so some people are wondering if Nemo and Dory will be the only figures for the Play Set.

I think that there's at least one (maybe two) unannounced Finding Somebody figures coming. My guess is that they'll either be Hank, Marlin, or (assuming she isn't too big to be playable) Destiny, since they're all marketed pretty hard and relevant to the movie. If anyone it'll probably be Hank, mostly because he is easily the most hyped new character in Finding Dory. (Probably the best choice, since Marlin could be too much like Nemo and Destiny might be too big. Which is a shame because I love whale sharks and would jump at the chance to play as one. )

I agree that Marlin is far too much like Nemo to warrant a figure, despite him being more of a main character than Nemo is. But Nemo is obviously a lot more popular so of course they are going to make him, it's what the first movie was named after.

I feel like Nemo is only getting the nod because of the movie's name. Marlin was a much more significant character than Nemo in the 1st movie at least. I'm a little disappointed we've got Dory and Nemo. Marlin and Dory spent most of the 1st movie together so it should have 100% been those two.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that! If it was only going to be one of them it should have been Marlin.

^That's fair. I like Nemo too. But Marlin/Dory are more of a duo. It's like Phineas and Ferb all over again :/.

Have to think like a kid here. Especially from a marketing perspective. Which character will the kids want more? Nemo or Marlin? I can tell you both of mine would much rather have Nemo. It makes little sense to make both Merlin and Nemo.
