I think the Cars characters are actually the reason they are more cautious about designing characters with special movement mechanics. Lightning and the other characters can't use packs or tools or can't play in certain toyboxs, for example.

Agreed. The Cars characters are some of the least used because of their limitations overall.

I think Syndrome is an interesting villain; he can't be serious and dangerous, yet he also whines and wipes his nose (I'm not kidding)! Chernabog would've been an interesting choice since I've heard him referred to as the most dangerous of all the Disney villains. If Maleficent wasn't in 2.0 as a "hero" she would've been a great pick for the wand-thief. Like in Fantasmic!, she could turn into a dragon at the end for the final battle. That would be so cool!

But I'm looking fora ward to TBTO all the same. I know it's going to be AWESOME!!

I'm sure the team is hard at work to make sure that if the game does get quadrupeds/water mechanics that it's done right and it's done awesome! I have faith in them.

JV's already confirmed that there's no Water or quadruped characters in 3.0 so don't be getting your hopes up lol!

They already figured out quadrupeds. We have mounts that can go slow or gallop. The big issue is probably making them able to climb. I don't think is that hard. I also think having Simba ledge hang would be easy enough.

But I'm glad they aren't in yet. I'm really happy they focussed on improving core mechanics first.
