For anyone looking for the JV tweet, here it is:

@Dedede_Man, 2.0 was announced on 30th April, and released on 23rd September - so that's around 5 months between the announcement and the release. 1.0 was announced on 15th January and released in August, which is about 7 months. On that basis, I would normally guess 3-5 months between announcement and release, as they seem to be getting better at it with each release.
Notably, they are announcing much later in the year this year however, and the August / September time-frame is the "hot selling" period they would not want to miss. We also know they have been showing alpha and beta versions in the past couple of months - and these would typically come 60-90 days before a GM (Gold Master) release.
The factory in China will need to produce the discs and package the goods for putting on to the ship. The ship will typically take 3-4 weeks to reach USA shores, and a further week or so to be distributed to retailers. So, you're talking a minimum of 6-7 weeks from the announcement (which would be pretty aggressive) - and probably more like 8-9 weeks.
So, I would guess end of September is more realistic than end of August.
Then again, I am open to surprises! Perhaps they have already shipped the packs to the USA and are just awaiting the discs to be slotted in and packaged in the USA. Anything is possible.
