That makes me feel much better.
Although, while I enjoy playsets, I am hoping the Toybox gets an overhaul of new features.
Personally, I feel they should have a toybox developer team and a playset developer team.
Maybe they already do, but I wouldn't really be able to tell, as the playsets seemed to have barely any
attention in 2.0.

Im curious as to why they didn't even show a teaser... is May THAT integral of a date to market it?

I know they can use May the 4th, but they passed up an entire Star Wars themed event for it. Maybe it has something to do with the Age of Ultron release?

It'd be hilarious if DI3 turned out to be not Star Wars.

Either way, Disney never mentioned or even hinted they were doing any DI related announcements at this. The game hasn't even been officially confirmed to exist yet! Getting all excited over expected announcements that didn't happen is all on y'all.

There are probably gigantic marketing decisions involved in making or not making announcements. Maybe they didn't want to clash with the release of Battlefront's trailer. EA does have a mostly exclusive partnership to make Star Wars games now, so there might be some licensing issues with having another major release taking some of their spotlight.

And that's all still assuming that DI 3 is Star Wars related - which has not been confirmed yet! :P

Avalanche signed a contract to continue producing Disney Infinity at least until 2016, where they will most definitely renew it again.
So yes, 3.0 is and has been confirmed for awhile.
And Star Wars is assumed because of the countless hints and because of it being a no-brainer.
I honestly would be devastatingly surprised if they missed such an opportunity for more fans from Star Wars to join the franchise.
