Violet came apart from base

Postby Elmo STM » Mon Mar 16, 2015 3:30 am

So taking all my figures out of the box for a group photo earlier and seen violet with no base!!

Thankfully it seems she just pulls apart from the base (no glue or anything, thought it was strange). Anyone else notice figures that come apart and go back together easily?

@wherestron I see what you did there! ha ha

And It's not something that I have thankfully had occurring in my personal collection, but when trading the figures in at work I find that when some have been in the box a while some do detach from their base, very rare that it happens though.

I have only had two characters with the issue of pieces falling off, Maleficent and Violet. Both of their heads fell off.
My small brother got a hold of Maleficent, but nothing some hot glue cannot fix, same for Violet.
Violet's body is too thin, so it is very fragile sadly...

I've also had 3 figures come apart - Maleficent (head), Violet (head), and Sulley (feet off base); super glue worked each time to restore the figures with no subsequent breaks to the respective character.

Can vouch for Sulley coming off the base, that's the one I have seen come apart the most, in terms of breakages though Violet's head as already stated is quite common, but I've also seen Mr's Incredible's arms come off on a few occasions, As for Maleficent's head my nephews also came loose after a very short time!

Wow. You guys are rough on your figures. I'm like so careful it's disturbing. My 2yo daughter dropped my Crystal McQueen which I'm grumpy about, but may replace him later. Otherwise I try hard to keep them safe in their storage.

Wow. That's odd. A manufacturing fault perhaps?
