9 spare Disney Original character spaces have appeared!

I think they are just there for decoration, nothing all that special, to be honest...

They're probably just to make it look more even. On Twitter Kohn Vignocchi replied to someone who said about their being nine originals in 3.0 and he said that it was one of the worst mistakes they made only having 9 in 2.0 or something like that.

Yea it was definitely a bad move only having 9. Hope they learn from it even half and half with star wars (if that's what they do indeed do)

Yeah, I didnt know if they knew we weren't happy with the lack of originals and Playsets for them but it seems they do and I think they have learnt from it and all the mistakes in 2.0 and 3.0 could be what we all wanted!

Well, while this may not be true, it is great to here that JV said the 9 disney originals was the worst mistake they've made. This means that the total number of figures we get for 3.0 and the number of Disney originals should go way up!

I wouldn't get my hopes up for 3.0. Avalanche/Disney Interactive learned their mistake late last year. While it's possible to create, write, design, rig, animate, program, and render a play set in one year, I wouldn't place any bets that there will be more Disney Original content. I think 3.0 will most likely address the bug issues of 2.0.

But who knows? It's entirely possible that we just get only one Star Wars play set and 2 or 3 Disney Originals sets in 3.0. Only time will tell, because nobody from Avalanche will.
