Coming Soon: Toy Box Tales

A few folks here already know, but here's the video of Bob Lowe from Avalanche from DICE 2015 talking about the DI platform.



At the 17:00 mark he mentions "Toy Box Tales" - episodic content that plays out over several weeks.

Exciting times ahead for us all, methinks!

Heard about that from some friends! Can't wait!

I hope it won't IOS only.
I hope they learned a lesson from what happened with the Tron IOS Exclusice figures.
That they create it for all consoles except the IOS version.

They're Toy Boxes. None of those are ever exclusive.

You never know with Disney.
If it was just Toy Boxes than why give they them an another name: Toy Box tales?
But we will see in the future more about this.

Because they are connected episodic boxes.

Too much paranoia that everything is going to iOS now.

I'm intrigued. I'm curious to see if these new Toy Boxes will be just like the community toy boxes we've already seen or if they're a distinctive format that offers a truly different feel when playing. Guess we'll have to wait until the "official" announcement from Disney.

I'd like to think these are like the community toy boxes and showcase what can be done. Would hate to see more Playset style stuff where it's locked out of the Toybox. Frustrates me that some toys are only in the Playset and not available to build with (e.g. Lone Ranger Train, Challenge Gates in Avengers Playset, etc).

I don't see how it would be anything but Toy Boxes. They talked about episodic boxes all the way back at the Summit.
