I'd like more diversity in/and more Toy Box Game Discs. More ideas past tower defense and dungeon crawler types, and initial options to intermingle the various characters before completing the campaign.

Anything from platformers to survival/brawls to racing games. Even board game type options. Just more. I really felt that invigorated the Toy Box for those moments that you just didn't want to build anything, and needed something lighter and more arcadey past the playsets.

I've been wanting boss figures since DI1 came out. Give them a hexagonal base, maybe one each for Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney.

Also, agree on more diverse toy box games. I love the idea of a Sugar Rush kart racer (with a podracing SW counterpart, I guess) that unlocks new AI racers for you to use in your toy box courses.

Yes, of course. One of the four pillars of DI.

It wouldn't work if we can't get a mission from Yondu to beat up Yondu while teaming up with Yondu as Yondu.

More music options/more sound effects. I know the Sky discs also come with music, but I'd like to see, say, 5 Muppet Songs and a bunch of Muppet Sounds on one disc ("Piggy's Greatest Hits" or something, LOL).

There is a nice selection of music in DI, but certainly not "extensive". We need more flavor like that.

As to Sidekicks, funny you mentioned droids - like a lot of 2.0 systems, they seem like prototypes for Star Wars/3.0 DI. Droids, little ewoks, Salacious Crumb's species, etc. Pretty limitless possibilities with Star Wars. Since the themes are so generic on this pass on Sidekicks, I have a feeling the impetus was to get the first iteration into the game now as it could play an important part in SW if done the right way. (I also hope they let you have more than one follow you around, as well - perhaps have how many you can use skill-based, a sort of "creature handler" add-on.)

Strangly, before reading this thread I had exactly the same idea just this afternoon. But I wasn't thinking of it in terms on Skylanders but more like a Lego game for team ups.
We're part way there with the rideable character like Angus etc but you could have Pascal, the triplets (as bears), Luigi, Baby Incredible, Bullseye or Rex or Trixie, Olaf or Sven, Minibot (BH6)
Possibilities truely are endless

Except Rex needs to be an IGP, and Bullseye should remain a mount.
