Disney Infinity Marvel and Star Wars sets in development

Now that we are far into DI 2.0's announcement, I wonder, if Star Wars sets were in development a while ago, why aren't they in 2.0?

^ Because they want to time everything to maximize exposure, thus driving up sales. Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled be released next fall, right in time for DI 3.0, so they're most likely going to save all but a handful of power discs or unlockables until next year.

Well would you fancy a Star Wars Rebels playset?

It would be nice if Disney did like the Marvel one this year then a Disney one next year, and then Star Wars followed by a Disney one again. This way we could get more Disney characters and people who don't want the Marvel or Star Wars aren't left out. Sure it's not going to happen but that's my thought.

They are certainly going heavy with the Marvel stuff so far. But the implication with how they're breaking the power discs into two waves (30 of Marvel, then 30 of Disney), is that the majority of the Disney stuff has yet to be announced. I could be wrong, but I think those of us hoping for more classic Disney characters and playsets are going to pleasantly surprised when they announce a bunch of stuff at the end of the year for early 2015 releases.

I really am excited for the Marvel stuff and plan on trying to get as much as I can at launch, but I really want some Disney stuff. What little we seen looks like it will just be toy box and that saddens me. I'd love for them to do like an Aladdin play set, or even like Mulan one would be awesome. One that I hope for, but know we wont see, is Once Upon a Time. I'd love to play as Rumple.

I agree that Star Wars will be featured in 3.0, but I also hope in 3.0 there is Marvel figures besides Disney. I know it would be tough to have 3 brands at the same time, but it would be really cool
