Both Unannounced Disney Characters from same Franchise

I'm happy with either Maleficent. I'd only be happier with a classic Maleficent figure over Angie's Maleficent if the classic Maleficent could turn into a dragon.

I agree they used the new maleficent to cross market with the new film.

Perhaps this is why Belle and Cinderella aren't out yet. They are waiting for the live action re-boots. Which means you could get live action based DI figures as opposed to the animated originals. So that means Cinderella is coming in 3.0 or a late surprise for 2.0. It also means you could be waiting a while for Belle and Beast. I am just speculating here - not trying to get into any fights.

Live action over classic would be the worst decision yet. They need to remain consistent considering we are getting classic Jasmine.

They won't do any of the princesses in their live action forms...they wouldn't match with Jasmine, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna and Elsa.

I'm a bigger fan of classic Maleficent as well. Wasn't overly happy with the new flick. (Not knocking it or anything, just didn't jive with my own personal tastes.)

I'll settle for a costume disc though. Now if only Thor could have had costume disc that changed him into Beta Ray Bill.

Jack sparrow, Tonto, lone ranger,jolee's malificeint, others. All live action characters that have been made cartoony just for D.I. I don't think they are worried about not "matching". They can cartoon anything up.

I personally agree with @The Disney Dork. I don't think the DI team will make live action versions of the princesses. It's possible they could, but in my opinion that would be a terrible decision.

Regardless of design...I wouldn't be surprised to see the timing of cinderalla figure announcement with the 2015 movie.

^^ I definitely see them making a figure around that time as well. Classic Cinderella is an icon to Disney and because of that I don't see them making a live action figure of her.
People can say the same about Mal, but from what I have experienced is that most people didn't know about Mal until she got her own movie...sadly.
