Disney Infinity for Xbox One!

If they release the second game as Xbox one will it still work on the 360? Because i'm not buying an xbox one just for the second game.

So hopefully they release Disney infinity 2 on both 360 and Xbox 1

I'm sure they'll release DI2 on both the new consoles as well as their older siblings. The only thing I hope is that take advantage of the improvements the new consoles bring with them - mainly increased power/memory, so hopefully bigger toy boxes, but also other new features. They also need to be prepared to drop the Wii so they aren't held back when it comes to DLC or at least accept the Wii's limitation and not have it impact on the other platforms.

^ Didn't they have that same issue between Wii and the other consoles? Either way, it's may be a tough decision, but one I think they should make. They can still share between the same generation of consoles, and it should also be possible to release prev-gen creations on the next-gen consoles; just not the other way around.

According to Disney figures quoted in the January 17 2014 New York Times, Infinity sales passed the 3 million mark the previous day and was one of the top 10 video games of 2013.

VGChartz gives January 11 2014 data showing DI sales of 2.81 million as follows:

960,000 - Wii
890,000 - Xbox 360
550,000 - PlayStation 3
280,000 - Wii U
130,000 - Nintendo 3DS

Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3 account for almost half of DI sales to date. Disney won't discontinue Infinity for these platforms while sales are this high; expect Xbox One and PS4 versions to be added to the list of existing platforms. I agree that it's likely existing platforms will retain current functionality; it's possible they might not have new functionality or graphics of the Xbox One or PS4 (a scenario Wii users are all too familiar with).
