I'm working on my first toy-box for submission and have a problem I'm trying to overcome. I have two separate sections I'm trying to join together in cut scene style. Let me explain what I'm trying to do:
In Area 1, a target hit triggers a falling object generator to drop a ball onto a canon. This fires the ball.
In Area 2, an action button triggers a falling object generator to drop a ball onto a time delayed flipper while a side-step camera is activated. The result is watching the ball pass.
I thought I was going to be able to substitute almost anything in front of the camera to start it, and the flipper/falling object combo. Turns out you can only use triggers, push buttons and trigger areas to start the camera. I tried to work around this by using an enemy passing through a trigger area. I also tried to use the ball passing through a trigger area. None of these worked.
Anyone got a good work around for this type scenario?
