Disney's Frozen: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2-Disc Deluxe Edition

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Disney Frozen’ Soundtrack New Details (Anna’s Song)

We have previously shared news that the original motion picture soundtrack for Disney’s upcoming animated film, Frozen, would be a two disc set, featuring an original score composed by Christophe Beck with new songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Up until now, however, other than previously announced details such as Elsa’s ‘Let it Go’ (performed by Idina Menzel) and Olaf’s ‘In the Summer’ (performed by Josh Gad) along with a supposed leaked track list, there has been very little in the way of additional details.

Today we are pleased to be the first to share additional news on the soundtrack: Anna’s song will be titled ‘For the First Time in Forever’ (performed by Kristen Bell).

The news comes to us via the Anna singing doll which will be available from Disney Store (pictured here), who will sing lines from the song.

UPDATE: song composer Robert Lopez has corrected us on the official title (above) and informed us that while the song is primarily performed by Anna, it includes Elsa as well

Anna sings? :D
That will be really great to see (actually, hear!) in the movie.

I didn't expect any musical scenes, since it's a heavy action and comedy movie.

I'll make a note to buy the soundtrack CD set when it comes out in my country.

^Frozen is a animated musical-fantasy and comedy film. :)

Anna does sing. :) Also to the fact that the one voicing her, Kristen Bell did some theater acting and some singing.

I can't wait to get the soundtrack. ^^

Nitpicky alert!

The animators need to brush up on their reindeer anatomy.

I was reading an article about the changes reindeer undergo during winter.

The most significant one is visible in the Sven video.
Or not visible rather, since the animators goofed!

Reindeer hooves change texture in winter, the soft covering retracts, leaving sharp edged hooves.
It's for better traction on the ice, cutting into it much as an ice skate would.

And since it's winter, Sven would have sharp edged hooves.
But in the video, he's got soft edged hooves.
Which he would only have in summer!

Random question, does anyone else here buy Art books of movies?

This is Frozen's one:

For my favorite movies, I've made a point of collecting them.
This one is on my list to buy, but it's not for sale yet.
They aren't usually released until just before or after the movie comes out.

^Yeah but isn't it like winter all the time there at the moment? Maybe they are in Summer? I'm not sure what the time of year it is in the movie.

And I have two Art of books, Paranorman and Wreck-it Ralph.

I have all the Pixar ones. Also, I believe it is summer. The trailer does say "Summer in the city of Arendelle..."

Yes, it was summer.

But that has no bearing on the matter.
Sven's body would respond to the drop in temperature and begin changing for the winter climate, regardless of the fact it wasn't the right time of year for the change to manifest.
Which is the actual trigger, not the time of year, but the temperature of the environment around him.
Otherwise it would have adverse affects on his biology, if he didn't change.
I cited the hooves, since it was the obvious one, but there are other changes necessary for surviving in winter which aren't used in summer.

I've got an assortment of the Pixar and Dreamworks art books.
Wreck-It Ralph and Paranorman are also in the collection.
