It doesn't get any bigger than this. John Lasseter announces new project, Gigantic, inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk. We are thrilled to announce that “Gigantic,” inspired by “Jack and the Beanstalk,” is coming to theatres in 2018! The film will be directed by Tangled's Nathan Greno and will feature music from Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez! #D23Expo

As far as titles go, sounds like it's next in the line of Tangled, Frozen... Gigantic. Trying to avoid fairy tale titles to appeal to the larger audiences.

But Tangled and Frozen are participial adjectives and Gigantic is not. They should have called it "Lifted" or "Sprouted" or "Discovered" or "Bested" or just kept "Giants"

What about Moana? Isn't that the same studio? As well as Wreck-It Ralph?
So it technically was never a trend they meant to start, just a coincidence.

Yeah, but Wreck-it Ralph and Moana aren't fairy tale movies. Tangled, Frozen, and Gigantic are.
