Online play?

Postby ElvisRV » Thu May 16, 2013 10:47 pm

Since I'm not really a online player I have a few questions; (I'm using an Xbox 360)
How do you play with another player that is playing somewhere else?
Can two players both use the same character?
How will other people's creations be played in?

Thanks in advance for any help! :)
I'm a big fan of Pixar and Disney Movies, and the Skylanders games. The Cars franchise and Ratatouille are my favorite Pixar movies. Paperman is my favorite thing to ever come out of Disney!

For another player, I am pretty sure it is Xbox Live.
For creations, I think they will be chosen like a level.
I am unsure about using the same character, but I would imagine it is possible.
I'm sure the Sheriff will correct me if I am wrong.

Okay thanks so much! Is Xbox Live expensive?

Oh, I'd hope we aren't allowed to use the same character at once!

They're individuals, there's no reason why there should be two of them out in the world at once.

Mind you, I don't think with the limited numbers of characters, they can really apply that restriction.

For example, I will be mostly playing Violet, so if someone else attempts to load Violet into the worldspace, they'll be locked out until they load a new character.

But if I start to play with someone, I will ask them beforehand to use someone other then the one I am controlling, so it's more realistic.

^ multiple players can use the same character, so in online mode that could potentially mean four of the same character being played at once.

While in the Toy Box it is completely reasonable to have more than one character show up because they are toys at that point. When you go to a friends with your toys it is completely possible we all have a Sully or Capt. Jack so on. Also, I think it would be hilarious to have multiples of the same characters running around. This would also encourage the "swapping" of clothing option you wanted before. You may both be playing Violet, but perhaps yours is running around with mouse ears.

Where I would think they would keep true to property with just one of each character would be the play sets. I have not seen footage of the same character during play sets yet. Although, it may still be possible to have two Capt. Jacks running around on the Black Pearl.

Oh, I would not do that to Violet!
I have some class, after all!

But I would like a Maskless Variant.

I never really got the point of how a formfitting eyemask conceals your identity when the rest of your face is visible!
There's a scene in the Incredibles comic where the children of the neighbours across the street look directly at Violet and Dash in their superhero uniforms and instantly recognize them.

Therefore, I think the mask is pointless, it doesn't actually conceal their identities at all!
