Is DI running behind with submissions?

Postby Steamboat Silly » Wed Nov 11, 2015 3:10 am

I submitted a box for the Jedi Training Challenge on Saturday, but it isn't uploaded yet, and the deadline is tomorrow. I put a lot of work into it so I hope it doesn't miss the deadline. I sent a tweet to Tyler, but he may be busy and not see it in time.

Does anyone know if they are behind?

Maybe they are doing you a favor. They post it Monday and by Wednesday night Thursday morning it's buried. If they post it tomorrow at least people will see it near the top for at least a day or so. ;)

If they do not post it today, does that mean my box will not be entered in the challenge?

On the contrary. Tweet Alison and Tyler if its not up by tonight. They are always busy especially during weeks where the challenge is popular so just give it a little time and also if you can log in and submit it again. There 8s always the possibility that it may not have went thru even it you got the Thank you for your submission message.

She responded and helped me connect with Tyler, who was kind enough to do I for me. For all of the game's faults, the people behind it are awesome!

@TheBaronesss

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work that way. In fact, the opposite. If your toy box gets stuck, and they have to push it through manually, it appears down the list to whatever the original timestamp of the submission is. So I've had one pushed through before that started on the 2nd page immediately. It also prevents you from getting credit with Infinity Prestige - you will still get credit for the downloads and likes but they don't count for the "Get X number of submissions approved" bonuses.

I believe it's different for Developer Picks, which do show up at the top - but for those who consistently get stuck boxes it kind of stinks :(

It would be a whole lot easier if there was some way to track or get a feedback message if your box is accepted or blocked/etc. The uncertainty is such a pain, you have to keep checking, never sure when you should give up and try to contact someone. It can be very discouraging, especially because you don't want to contact them too soon in case they are just behind, but on the other hand, if you don't contact them soon enough - your game can get buried and never gets a good chance to be seen.

I was just giving him a way of getting the box posted. I have at not time paid attention to or even understand the "prestige" system. I'm a street sweeper I think...sounds low. Oh well.
