Restrict flying

Postby LaMystique » Sun Oct 11, 2015 11:22 pm

So, I am making a large maze and I want to restrict flying and super jumping, but allow the players to use whatever character they want. I searched the forums and found something about a weather vane, but it only blows the character off the map. What am I doing wrong?

Weather vanes can be useful, just as long as you have something to turn them back off.

If you are doing this for a maze, however, I think it would be simpler to just use a scalable invisible barrier (located in platforming toys) to create a ceiling.

You can use a toy called the game maker. What you do is set up a connection w/level starter the game maker should "start test mode" in the properties set the game maker to restrict flyers. The only thing is you do not want to activate it until you are done since it will kill your ability to edit...alternatively you can set up a trigger to turn off the "test mode" if you want.
