I need some very special Toy Box recommendations!

Postby RadioZT » Mon May 11, 2015 3:35 pm

I've been a lurker here for a long time, but I've finally decided to sign up here because I need your help!

I've recently decided to use Disney Infinity as a way to introduce my 5 year old niece to the world of video games, so I'm looking for easy toy boxes that we can play around in.

The main one we played was Frozen Fever, where you had to run around and find all the hidden cupcakes, and she was having fun running and jumping around trying to find them all, so I'm looking for boxes similar to that one, where you run around trying to find things. No enemies to beat up or anything like that (not quite ready for that kind of stuff yet), just a very easy game a young child could handle.

If you guys have any ideas for similar toy boxes, they would be greatly appreciated!

Merida's Archery challenge(if you have that figure)- MightyGitis
Rapunzels Flower Hunt (again if you have that figure)-CCRunner
The Lion King(any figure) Erdadi3
Soccerella(any figure) PirateSteven

Im typing and walking so I apologize for not giving the links but go into finished creations subsection and the individual artists have links to their stuff. Those 4 are off the top of my head, there are plenty more boxes that focus on collecting and exploring rather than combat.

I will definitely look into some of those!

I need to get more female characters for her to play with anyway. She liked getting to play as girl characters, but all I have for her to play as at the moment are Black Widow and Gamora. I'll put Rapunzel and Merida on the list.

@RadioZT - Target is having a sale this week so you can pick up some female characters on the cheap. I am getting Tinkerbell tonight for $6.50.

Best Buy has Vanellope for $5.99 as well.

I might also suggest just an empty toybox. My 5yr old (will be 6 this summer) loved playing in an empty toybox - took him very little time to get the hang of placing objects. Initially he just loved building houses for himself and putting down townspeople without fighting (since he hated dying). Now, after a few months, he builds logic connections to wave generators, doors, platforming toys etc.. and loves making waves of enemies in conjunction with the team toy so he has some on his team fighting for him (including teamed turrets etc) against hordes of others enemies defending the houses he builds.
