My reasoning's kinda petty, but they feel like cheap stand-ins for Scratch and Grounder, from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. I know it's not very well liked, but I still love it and those two were the biggest draw for me. Their banter and the slapstick with them was just great. I'd have far preferred to see them back instead of these replacements. At least it's not as blatant as Decoe and Bocoe in Sonic X. Hell, they even had Bokkun as a stand-in for Coconuts!
Seriously, though, I need to see Scratch and Grounder brought back.
