This game is shaping up to live up to the remake name, HGSS were hands down the best games when they released and OR/AS are definitely looking to fill those shoes nicely. Unfortunately it's looking like trainer customization MAY be out, but let's hope not. I mean Team Magma now look like geologists, Team Aqua look like pirates, and now everyone gets to basically have there own Pokémon Gym that can be shared via StreetPass & QR Codes?! I am far too excited for these games.

I'm extremely excited to see what they do with contests after seeing the update that secret bases got, here's hoping for something really impressive! I'm definitely getting my X/Y Pokémon ready to take a trip to Hoenn come November.

I went on Nintendo Life and saw the news about Super-Secret Bases.

*squee*

I hope contests are in as well, toops. And I agree, SketchFox, HGSS are- in my opinion- still the best single-player Pokémon games and I hope that ORAS turn out as well.

I will be massively disappointed if contests don't return in the way that they were in Hoenn, none of the dressing up and dancing nonsense. I had a Manectric in Emerald that managed to gain every single ribbon and came with me to beat the E4, good times.

Just to counter all this positivity about HGSS I have to say that it is the only main series Pokemon games that I haven't finished or even the desire to finish. I absolutely loved Silver when I played it on my Gameboy, completing it multiple times, but running through it with the Gen 4 mechanics was just a chore for me. The pokemon I wanted to use had bad movepools and/or stat distribution. It is difficult to enjoy a game when you try and play it how you want to and you are punished for it. So all in all HGSS is not for me.

Everyone is allowed an opinion right?

I'll probably be doing:
Swampert
Flygon
Sableye
Exploud
Camerupt
Cacturne

I don't really care about team balancing so I just do my favorites.
Chewie is best character
