Multiplayer co-op playset help!!

CONFIRMED DISNEY INFINITY supports 2 player co-op play in "Play Set" mode, and up to 4 players via local or network online play in "Toy Box" mode for HD consoles (Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and Wii U). Enjoy 2 player co-op play in "Toy Box" mode on the Nintendo Wii.

I tried doing a co op online playset with my friend in kansas. I had mr. Incredible. She had mrs. Incredible. It wouldn't let either of us invite each other to play. Am I doing something wrong? The toy box is cool and all but the play sets would be so much better with a friend. Any help..PLEASE...

I don't think there is online playsets, just co-op split screen.

^ I know me and my friends are really gutted about no online in playsets in early demos they said we could.

I really really hope they add this via a patch soon, I don't understand why they said we could but we couldn't.

I have to admit I am very disappointed that I cannot play co-op online.
A friend of mine bought DI and the Lone Ranger just to play it with me and now that fun has just fizzed out.
I dearly hope they patch it.

^^ John V. tweeted that at launch you couldn't play online with the play sets. The way it sounded was a patch in the future would allow it though. I hope the same as you.
