Which 1.0 characters stand up best in 2.0 even without their special abilities because I want to pick some up but not if they aren't any good in 2 of 3.0

None of them fly so if flying is a big thing for you then maybe none will be to your taste. My personal fave that holds up is Ralph. Level him up and he can super jump:)

A selection of 1.0 characters with decent 2.0 upgrades:

Rapunzel
- gets Iron Fist's healing aura
- strong bouncing ranged attack with knockback

Sorcerer's Apprentice
- strong multi-hit multi stun ranged attack
- health regen

Mr Incredible
- BIG super jump
- non-generic ranged attack

Ralph
- BIG super jump
- non-generic melee attack

Lone Ranger
- strong, fast multi-hit ranged attack
